Hi, my name is Fuji and I’m the sweetest and juiciest apple around.
I’m quite the world traveler. I actually came to Washington State from the other side of the world in Japan.
My parents are Red Delicious apples and a variety originally from Virginia called Ralls Janet. I’m a crisp apple with a sugary-sweet flavor. If you love apple juice, you’ll love me!

- One of Fuji’s parents, Ralls Janet, was cultivated after Thomas Jefferson gifted a Virginia nursery apple cutting.
- Many people think Fuji is named after Mount Fuji, the biggest mountain in Japan, but really it is after Fujisaki, a town located in Japan.
- Apples are part of the rose family. Pears, peaches, plums, and cherries are too!
